A warm welcome awaits you in Wilmslow, Cheshire at Fulshaw WI.  We meet at St Anne’s Fulshaw Primary School. Our next meeting is on Monday 21st May 2012 at 8pm doors open at 7.50pm.

This will be our fifth meeting of the New Year and, if you have enjoyed your 3 meetings as a guest and would like to join,  we ask you to bring along your downloaded membership forms along with your cheque/payment of £31.50.  It will be a wonderful evening as we are hosting Mr Grahame Royale who is going to give us a wonderful talk all about keeping bees!!. It sounds fascinating and has come highly recommended to us. It is always a treat when we have a talk about something that is new to us, giving us a wonderful insight into somebody else’s passion and we are looking forward to it very much.
Please feel free to bring along friends who you think might enjoy our WI and all that we offer!
We are also delighted to announce that we have been asked again to provide refreshments in the tea tent at the Alderley Edge Fete. This is becoming a hugely popular event and attracts lots of people for the day.  We have had great fun at the previous events with our wonderful members providing stunning baking along with lots of laughs.  PLease think about about volunteering to provide baking, help on the day or, even better…both!!  This is our main fundraising event of the year so we rely on our members to make the day a success.
We are lucky enough to often get invitations to lots of local events. We recently spent a very enjoyable VIP evening at the Lavender Tree in Wilmslow where we were treated to demonstrations of wonderful Spring table decorations with a glass of fizz to help us all relax.  We thank them very much  and thank them for their wonderful hospitality.
We have made a New Year’s resolution for Fulshaw Wi (in addition to any you may have made yourself) which is to be active in supporting and promoting local business.  We would like to recommend to our members that they try to use  local produce and products where possible.  Local business is vital and many of our members own & run local businesses which need our support for survival.  Please consider this throughout the year where possible!!

The film night in Knutsford continues to be popular.  Our last  movie was The Deep Blue Sea.  We have not selected the next movie yet but when we do we’ll let you know and if you would like to go please contact Jan Murray or email us at our own website to put your name on the list.    As this is not exclusively for WI members you can always bring a friend along too.

See you all on 21st May.  Please bring your friends and we look forward to welcoming you all there!

We are a youthful group of ladies who enjoy meeting every month to meet new friends, swap stories and ideas as well as learn new skills through the many varied and knowledgeable speakers that visit us.
